Job Description

SUMMARY:

  • The Associate Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for managing TIAs marketing and communication efforts in support of meetings, events, education and sales. The position is primarily responsible for the management and implementation of the strategic and tactical marketing plans related email, social media and website.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Website
    1. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive traffic and enhance UX
    2. Serve as point of contact for website issues (login issues, dead pages, bad links, etc.)
    3. Manage website update requests from staff/departments
    4. Manage monthly cross-departmental website audits
    5. Monitor Contact Us form submissions across website
    6. Publish and maintain blog posts and press releases across website
    7. Build and maintain landing pages for courses, events, programs and services
    8. Update website homepage menus, back end page linking, etc.
    9. Build on-going knowledge base of best practices, trends, and new technology
  • Email Communications
    1. Develop and implement targeted and segmented email campaigns
    2. Manage email client target/distribution lists
    3. Manage unsubscribe requests from email contacts
    4. Draft email copy for courses, webinars, products, services, events, membership, etc.
    5. Build on-going knowledge base of best practices, trends, and new technology
  • Social Media
    1. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to grow impressions/engagement
    2. Manage social media management platform (Zoho Social)
    3. Manage social media accounts (respond to join requests, questions/comments)
    4. Schedule weekly, recurring and one-off social posts as directed
    5. Build on-going knowledge base of best practices, trends, and new technology
  • Content & Video Production
    1. Utilize multiple applications including Feathr and Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Premiere
    2. Create original video content in support of TIA events, programs and services
    3. Create and maintain content library for social media posts and campaigns
    4. Create and maintain content library for email communications
    5. Repurpose existing content from interviews, webinars, etc.
    6. Build on-going knowledge base of best practices, trends, and new technology
  • Analytics & Reporting
    1. Monitor website/page traffic (analytics/trends) monthly, quarterly and annually
    2. Monitor email results (analytics/trends) monthly, quarterly and annually
    3. Monitor social media (analytics/trends) monthly, quarterly and annually
    4. Monitor podcast episodes (analytics/trends) monthly, quarterly and annually
    5. Pull social media reports for Education Departments every other week
    6. Pull contact us form submissions for Education, Membership and Sales weekly
    7. Export and save social media analytics and add to respective trackers monthly
    8. Build on-going knowledge base of best practices, trends, and new technology

ADDITIONAL ABILITIES & SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to proofread and edit reports, journals, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of opinions and pull into a concise and achievable goal.
  • Knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; ability to read financial reports; ability to utilize communications software; and the ability to utilize the iMIS database.
