Job Description

A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for early childhood and elementary school educators committed to supporting young learners with diverse needs. This role involves working in a resource inclusion classroom with children aged 3 to 6 years, focusing on life skills development in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 19 students, delivering instruction tailored to their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with a team consisting of four paraprofessionals and another certified teacher to provide a supportive learning experience.
  • Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with students' goals and coordinate with related service providers.
  • Maintain a daily schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 35 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas State License with Special Education EC-12 endorsement is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in special education settings, particularly with early childhood populations.
  • Competence in creating and applying Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
