Location: San Jose, California Hourly salary: USD 40 - 55 Type: Part-time (at least 16 hours per week) Reports to: Chief of Staff The Role We’re searching for a creative, trend-focused Video Producer to work closely with the CEO office, accelerating the production of high-impact social video content that truly convey the voice of our CEO and the company. You’ll play a key role in shaping the external AND internal presence of our company by transforming raw footage and long-form content into compelling, socially native short-form videos for today’s leading social platforms. Location & Commitment Must be able to work from our San Jose office at least 1-2 days per week. Occasional travels might be required. Part-time, contractor role with flexible hours to suit project demands. Key Responsibilities Set up, shoot, and direct video footage in office, on location, or at events. Edit and produce high-quality social videos from the footages. Develop content tailored specifically for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms. Rapidly iterate content based on feedback and analytics. Collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership to craft an authentic, trending content voice. Manage multiple video projects with fast turnaround, balancing speed and quality. Continuously monitor and incorporate the latest social media trends, formats, and interactive content techniques. Repackage and optimize content for maximum cross-platform performance. Support additional multimedia content production as needed. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in both videography (shooting video) and video editing for modern social platforms. Portfolio showcasing camera work, lighting, and audio capture skills along with strong editing of short-form and vertical content. Proactive sense for storyboarding, shooting angles, and editing styles that work on today’s social channels. Up-to-date with the latest formats and trends across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, and emerging platforms. Comfortable directing on-camera talent and setting up visual scenes. Proficient in industry-standard editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.). Ability to work quickly and adapt content to feedback. Available to shoot in the San Jose office and potentially at offsite locations. Preferred Attributes Emerging/early-career talent encouraged—enthusiasm, curiosity, and hustle are valued. Passion for content creation, new storytelling techniques, and digital trends. Experience with live streaming, video podcasting, or interactive formats is a plus.
