Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Senior HR Business Partner for SMGS Operations at Amazon Web Services (AWS) . In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with senior business leaders to develop and expand the teams responsible for the Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives across AWS.

Your responsibilities will involve working both independently and collaboratively, engaging effectively with professionals at all levels.

This HRBP will directly support senior leaders in SMGS Operations, who oversee various global sales operation teams. These teams are dedicated to driving success across the diverse seller organizations within AWS.

This position can be based out of any AWS Hub including Seattle, Arlington, VA, NYC, Dallas, or Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to create talent strategies that support a rapidly growing business and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead efforts in organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, and performance development.
  • Mentor business partners on career advancement, leadership, and effective management practices.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive people plans and solutions that drive results and foster an environment where employees can excel.
  • Utilize data analytics to propose compelling and actionable recommendations to business partners.
  • Facilitate Organization and Leadership Reviews focused on succession planning and talent development.
  • Enhance communication channels and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support leadership in compensation matters, including annual salary reviews, promotions, and job re-leveling.
  • Collaborate with the central HR Partner organization to address employee relations issues fairly and equitably.
  • Work alongside the AWS talent acquisition team to create scalable recruiting programs that establish a sustainable talent pipeline.
  • Lead cross-functional HR projects or contribute to ongoing business initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of HR generalist leadership experience, ideally in a high-tech setting.
  • Proven ability to coach and partner with senior leaders in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or MBA in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching, influencing, and problem-solving across various leadership levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational design, talent management, employee relations, compensation, and performance management.
  • Strong business acumen with proven project management and execution skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, exercising sound judgment in various situations.
  • Exceptional capacity to influence and collaborate with HR professionals across different functions and regions.
  • Experience working in a global team setting across multiple time zones.

The base salary for this role ranges from $117,000 to $193,400, depending on geographic location and job-related skills and experience.
