Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about accounting and client service. You will work directly with senior accountants and partners on a wide range of accounting, bookkeeping, and tax assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support tax return preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits.
  • Maintain client accounting records and ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate with clients to gather financial data and provide support as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 1–3 years of public accounting or related experience preferred (entry-level candidates will be considered).
  • CPA candidate or intention to pursue CPA license is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
