Responsibilities The Network Engineer supports the stable operation of the Piedmont Healthcare computer network. The engineer performs basic installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal downtime. The engineer also diagnoses, resolves, and documents hardware and software network problems accurately and in a timely manner, and provides end‑user training and support as required. Qualifications Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of relevant work experience will be accepted. Minimum Experience Required: Two (2) years of work experience, including hands‑on knowledge of installation, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco networking equipment. If no degree, a total of six (6) years of experience is required. Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: None. Additional Qualifications: Cisco Certified Network Analyst (CCNA) is preferred.
